WAIKIKI BATHROOM REMODEL

SALT LAKE APARTMENT RENOVATION

This rental apartment had old carpet that was stained, torn up and not the most desirable. We pulled it out and put all new luxury vinyl planks throughout to create a monolithic floor covering that is not only durable but beautiful and easy to maintain. Newly painted walls and new light fixtures really finished it off well.

HAWAII KAI BATHROOM REMODEL

We are back at this same home that we did a kitchen and bathroom remodel in preivously. We did the same thing to this bathroom as the last, with a new cast-iron tub and porcelain tile to go along with locally-made cabinets and a nice piece of "river white" granite. We reused the old mirror and just put a nice frame around it. Also we made a big impact by getting rid of the dingy vanity light and putting in three new recessed lights, including one over the shower that made a huge difference.

HAWAII KAI OUTDOOR SAUNA

This homeowner has been our most loyal customer over the years and really believes in us and our work. This latest project of hers calls for building a new outdoor sauna on the corner of her lawn with sweeping views of the Ko'olaus and the Hawaii Kai Marina. As a sauna enthusiast, she wanted the outdoor feel while relaxing in the Sauna and we made that a reality.

MOANALUA KITCHEN REMODEL

Another day, another old kitchen. This kitchen was a pretty typical old kitchen with built in cabinetry, old laminate countertops and of course it was walled off to the rest of the house. We gutted it and will be replacing it with modern cabinetry, countertops, no separating wall, porcelain tile, new lighting etc. A large, free standing island will serve as the centerpiece for the kitchen and the home, actually.

LANIKAI WINDOW REPLACEMENT

This cute Lanikai house with a spectacular view had five large picture windows that showed off an unobstructed view of the "Mokes" straight out from the living room. The only problem however, was that these large picture windows did not have any openings for ventilation so the living room often got hot and stuffy. The homeowner wanted to replace the windows to keep the view but also take advantage of the prevailing tradewinds so that the house could be livable, so we put in large picture windows with awning panels underneath to solve the problem. We used fiberglass Pella Impervia windows with a brown exterior and white interior to match both sides.

PALOLO BATHROOM REMODEL

This multi-generational mid-century Palolo home's upstairs unit has only one bathroom and it is not in great shape. We will gut the whole thing and convert a tub to a shower, as so many people want to do these days. Glass subway tile, glass partition, you get the point. Porcelain wood-look floor tile and river rocks on the shower pan will certainly make this bathroom the nicest room in the house.

MOANALUA BATHROOM REMODEL

This auxiliary bathroom in this mid-century Moanalua home was always sort of an afterthought, as it was hardly used. Partly because it's really small but mainly because the old shower leaked from the walls and shower pan. We fixed all that and created a new, waterproofed shower enclosure done the right way (as we always do) with all new porcelain tile everything. The homeowner kept the design simple and functional, and we accomplished what we needed to bring some glory back to this small space.

KAPAHULU BATHROOM REMODEL

This tiny bungalow was built before World War II and hadn't been updated since. First on the list for the new homeowner was to make bathroom livable and usable. The old bathroom had no stand-up shower option and was limited to an old soaking tub. We came in and changed all that by changing the reconfiguration and getting rid of the tub. A modern stand-up shower with glass surround fits perfectly in this challenging little space and we got the flow right to go along with nice finishes. New drywall over old bead board and paint capped it off.

KAHALA NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION

This ground-up project started with a tear-down, and we did just that. From foundation to finishes, this is our largest project yet and is our trophy project to date. There is over 4,000 square feet of living space on two levels of this beast of a structure and some of the finishes are for higher-end tastes. This project was definitely a labor of love for all of us!

KAKA'AKO APARTMENT RENOVATION

High-end finishes for high-end clients. These were some of the kindest and best clients to ever work for. They also had expensive taste and we followed through with a full gut of this two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in a very distinguished building by Ala Moana Center. Teak cabinets, handmade tile, solid bamboo floors, barn doors, glass, you name it. And to top it off we upgraded the electrical panel and knocked down a wall to create an open concept kitchen.

PUNCHBOWL APARTMENT RENOVATION

This condo had cheap laminate and the original tub/showers that we replaced. We put down new wood-look porcelain tile throughout for a durable and high-end feel. We also repainted the whole place. Both showers got converted to walk-ins with more modern looking porcelain tile and of course new shower fixtures.

MANOA HOME RENOVATION

This spacious home in Manoa was actually in good shape but the owners wanted to go all-out on their kitchen and living room and create one large, cohesive "lifestyle room" where all their family activities could take place. With the help of a designer, we opened the kitchen way up, creating much more counter space and eat-in space with the massive 10'0" long island. Ultra-modern cabinetry give the room a nice, calming ambience.

NU'UANU FENCE REPLACEMENT

This existing fence was so rotten that it came down with a mere push. It was also not functional as the owners got a new dog who was large and very active, and was always getting out of his enclosure. We built an all new redwood fence with new footings, posts rails and pickets, and built two swinging gates that are functional and easy to use. Needless to say, the owners are happy that their dog cannot get out of her enclosure and their new fence looks beautiful and timeless.

MILILANI KITCHEN REMODEL

This lovely home in Mililani Mauka is relatively new and the existing kitchen was actually in good shape. However the owner had grand visions for his kitchen and living space, and we carried out those visions.Custom cabinetry and high-end quartz are sure to blow minds. The white on white theme with new white porcelain tile floors create a true minimalist and ultra-modern ambience very seldom found in Hawaii. The quartz waterfall edge is a bold and sleek feature that does not disappoint.

NIU VALLEY HOME RENOVATION

The owners of this home were very ambitious in renovating all the important rooms in their house. We gutted the kitchen and three bathrooms for this two-phased project. Clean lines, better materials and a better kitchen layout really added value and functionality to this home. The kitchen is the centerpiece, and the large peninsula replaces an old wall of cabinets that previously blocked off the kitchen from the living room. The new open floor plan makes an enormous difference.

MANOA COTTAGE RENOVATION

This lovely Manoa home has a small Ohana cottage on the property that the owners wanted to spruce up into a rental and/or guest house. We gutted the bathroom and did a tub to shower conversion as well as replaced the kitchenette with new cabinets and stone. The existing flooring remained but we pulled off all the nasty wainscotting and did a bunch of drywall repair topped of with a fresh paint job. A new code-compliant railing over the split level ledge increases safety of the unit. All new light fixtures, switches and outlets top off this renovation.

DIAMOND HEAD APARTMENT RENOVATION

We remodeled the kitchen and flooring of this cute little Diamond Head apartment. The original kitchen was just too far gone and the existing laminate flooring was mismatched and separating at the seams already. We also removed the weird glass block pony wall at the entry as well as removed all the popcorn ceilings and skimmed it smooth for that slick, high-end feel.

MAKIKI APARTMENT RENOVATION

We renovated this old apartment's kitchen, working around various plumbing and electrical obstacles to create a more functional living space. We took down the weird wall/post in the middle of the kitchen and created a usable eat-in island that feels more open without sacrificing function.

Finally, we got rid of the nasty old carpet throughout the whole unit. Luxury vinyl flooring and matching shoe molding round out this remodel.

MANOA WASHROOM BUILDOUT

The owners of this beautiful and historic Manoa home wanted to move their washer and dryer inside the house, to a more convenient and protected location. We utilized a small, previously unused area and made it work perfectly as a washroom right off the kitchen. A nice quartz countertop and storage rack make it a super functional, multi-purpose room for the homeowners.

PAWA'A BATHROOM REMODEL

The owner of this quaint little condo near Ala Moana was sort of a DIY homeowner who wanted to do some of the work himself. So we just gutted the old cracking/leaking tub and converted it to a walk-in shower. We replumbed and tiled the shower and floor with porcelain and did some drywall patching here and there. The owner took it from there, handling the painting and some other repairs.

WAIALAE IKI BATHROOM REMODEL

We completely remodeled this bathroom with a tub to shower conversion and high end tile everywhere. The river rock shower pan is a nice natural touch and the relocated vanity lights add more functionality for the owner.

NU'UANU COTTAGE BUILDOUT

We built the world's first "woman cave" on this beautiful and spacious Nu'uanu property. The owner wanted a small space of her own for work, play, relaxation, etc. so we built a cute little cottage to mimic the main house. Its separation from the main house creates its sense of retreat, especially with a quaint yet functional deck on the front for hanging out and entertaining.

KAILUA KITCHEN REMODEL

We tore out the original kitchen from this 1970's-era home and put in an all-new one with better cabinets with more options (pull out shelves/trash, glass doors on select cabinets), better ceiling and under cabinet lighting and a larger pass-through window with a single level countertop.

We also tore out the old parquet floors and installed 18" square porcelain tile over cement backer board.

HAWAII KAI PATIO COVER

This lovely home on the Hawaii Kai Marina has an outdoor patio area that, for some reason, was built without a roof over it. The owners had placed a large popup tent there for years just to make the area somewhat usable.

We built a permanent cover over it that ties into the existing roof of the house seamlessly. A moss rock column wrap, cedar wood ceiling inlays and LED lighting create a functional, beautiful, ambient and most of all, protected, space for the owners to enjoy some comfortable outdoor time.

We also replaced the owner's mailbox, which was all rotted out wood and fell down with the push of a finger. We built a moss rock mailbox with the box itself embedded within the rock.

HAWAIIAN FRESH SEAFOOD

This fresh fish distribution company has a large warehouse on Sand Island with a lot of unused space. The owner wanted to create an enclosed office space within the warehouse that is separate from the noise and smell of the warehouse operations, and is clean and comfortable.

We built a standalone structure elevated from the moisture of a warehouse that is constantly being hosed down, and made it look and feel like a cozy little home. Recessed lights, VCT floors and vinyl sliding windows create this comfortable feel for a productive office space.

We also remodeled the employees' bathroom which was previously dirty and moldy, and had serious plumbing issues. Now the employees' restroom is a clean and modern oasis designed for comfort and functionality, as is the theme of all our work.

LANI LEA SKY TOURS

This empty warehouse inside an aircraft maintenance hanger had sat idle for a long time and was a dingy old space that needed some serious changes. The new tenant for this space takes tourists on airplane tours of the islands and needed a nice reception/showroom/headquarters space to entertain customers while they get set up for their tours.

HAWAII KAI SOFFIT & COVE LIGHTING

This home in Hawaii Kai has a large, open living room, however there was no ceiling lighting.
